"I work sculpturally or installationally with various materials, most recently focusing on ceramics. Improvising and playing with the material is important to me and shapes my works. In terms of content, I critically examine social processes, human-machine interactions and the most classic subject of sculpture, the human body. What materials and machines surround and shape it? One series, for example, explores the world of sanitation, full of fragrance and cleansing, while another pays tribute to the smartphone charging cable. Another series consists of exoskeletons and orthoses that surround specific poses of the human body and provide precise support. Seemingly waiting for new users, the objects lie and stand around as autonomous sculptures. A play on usability, efficiency and optimisation.
I like humour and exaggeration in form and language."
