Alina Röbke

Alina Röbke studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Mainz and completed her master's degree with Prof. Shannon Bool in 2022. Recent works have been shown at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (2022, Berlin), Simultanprojekte (2022, Cologne), Kunsthalle Mainz (2021) and Babour Gallery (2019, Jerusalem), among others. She is currently part of the Nouveau Grand Tour Residency Program at Palazzo Butera, Palermo.
The artist often makes research-based work with paper, fabric and light-sensitive emulsions. Open to mutability and fragility, she performatively relates the materials to her body, incorporating site- and time-specific aspects.
Since 2019, she has been working in the artist duo /POKY on hybrid, interdisciplinary formats, questioning contemporary art as a social, collective, architectural, sculptural and performative phenomenon.
